Day 15, 11th November 2000.

Today was a slow starting day!!!!!!!

We eventually got up and debated about whether or not to stay another day, but decided that we really ought to get a move on as we had 300+ miles to travel today to reach Tallahassee, the capital of Florida and the place where people cannot count (votes).

The trip took us across the top of the Gulf of Mexico, initially through swamplands and then beaches and small towns.  We cut across the bottom of the states of Mississippi and Alabama before hitting Florida.

It would have been nice to stop and see the beach for a bit, but neither of us were feeling up to it, Chris was still flu-ed up to the eyeballs and I was still a bit wrecked from last nights festivities.

We arrived in Tallahassee by early evening and found a cheap but cheerful motel on the outskirts of the city.  We arrived, ordered a pizza delivery, then fell asleep!  Unfortunately that was all we were capable of doing today, but we wanted to rest up to see the delights of Savannah the next day.

Sorry about the lack of pictures....
